After assisting in the cave rescue in Thailand, Elon Musk now has his sights set stateside to aid in a crisis that has been ongoing for some time. On Twitter today, Musk responded to a commenter who brought up the need for clean water in Flint, Michigan.

“Hey @elonmusk I heard a bunch of people saying there’s NO WAY you could help get clean water to Flint, Michigan,” @DylanSheaMusic tweeted. “Said you wouldn’t be capable idk.”

Musk replied by saying, “Please consider this a commitment that I will fund fixing the water in any house in Flint that has water contamination above FDA levels. No kidding.”

Then, when asked by Sean Hollister of CNET if his pledge was legitimate, also suggesting that the lead levels in Flint are below federal standard, Musk added, “Most houses in Flint have safe water, but they’ve lost faith in govt test results. Some houses are still outliers. Will organize a weekend in Flint to add filters to those houses with issues & hopefully fix perception of those that are actually good.”

Many have long since been calling for anyone with means to help the water crisis in Flint. Let us know what you think of Musk stepping up to the plate.
