G-SHOCK continues to celebrate 35 years in business with even more collaborations alongside Japanese greats. Following the brand’s collaboration with legendary Japanese designer NIGO, G-SHOCK unveils two new projects with Porter and kolor.
The former is a full DLC-coated version of the full-metal GMW-B5000, and is done in collaboration with Japanese luggage-maker Yoshida & Co., the maker of Porter bags. The G-SHOCK x Porter GMW-B5000TFC-1 features the traditional colors of the original G-Shock DW-5000C-1A with a red ring around the display, in addition to has a diamond-like carbon coating on the bezel and bands. The timepiece also comes with the 35th Anniversary logo inscribed on the case back. The collaboration is limited to 500 units worldwide and retails for €1,200. Look for it at premium retailers like Overkill, Allike and Firmament.
The latter is a GMW-B5000KL and will be produced in a run of 700 watches. The collaborative model is based on the GMW-B5000 and features a case and bezel made from stainless steel and a band made from resin. The watch features a distinct gold and black finish throughout, while a special 35th anniversary logo designed by kolor is engraved on the back case. Further special design touches include the kolor logo on the strap keeper. The G-SHOCK x kolor GMW-B5000KL will retail for €599 and release in July. Retailers are yet to be determined.
Look for both models to hit select retailers in the coming weeks.
